Fashion Blood
This is a portfolio of the custom work i did as the sole proprietor of Zootsuit. After working at Nelson's Sewing Machine Co. from 1986 to 1993/4; i decided i had enough experience and loyal alteration clients, to step out on my own.
It was an exhilerating experience and when the garment trade was outsourced, it hurt. I decided i needed to know what was really going on and i returned to school. Since then and many school hours later i am fairly sure that what was/is going on was/is often unhealthy for children and all living things. Getting involved with sustainability has supplied me with a solutions based mindset, an experimental freedom and an invigorating faith. The journey is really getting interesting.
Sometimes appearances are very deceiving and sometimes illusions are miracles; fashion is a funkster and a delight, a gangster and a fairytale, a tattler and a charmer.......
